What to expect

Each week you will receive freshly harvested fruits and vegetables of the late spring, summer and early fall seasons. On Monday morning a newsletter will be sent with a list of items in the share, how to store them, many great recipes, and fun stories of on-farm happenings.  The pick-up locations will be  at Duckworth's in Milledgeville, Greensboro, and on the farm in Sparta, GA.

Missing a week (or two or three)

Each shareholder is responsible for picking up their vegetables each week at their specified location from 4:00PM-6:00PM.  We do encourage adventure and summer is the best time for it! We do understand if you need to miss a few weeks, but please let us know in advance if you will have a friend pick it up or if you would like for us to donate that week’s share.  If you are not able to pick up on Tuesday or you forget, but still want your share for the week we will be happy to hold your share for up to 48 hours.  It will then be up to you to come pick it up at Elm Street on the following Wednesday or Thursday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. If this is the case, please contact us beforehand. We want to be as accommodating as possible, but we are working with a small cooler and need our cold space on Fridays in preparation for market on Saturday.

Squash again?

We truly believe that there is a special equation that makes each share unique, but we do know that not everyone loves all the fruits and vegetables that summer has to offer.  When becoming a farm shareholder, you share in the over-abundance and under-abundance that occurs due to great and not so great weather.  We'll also do our best to change up the share each week and not bombard you with too much squash or too many tomatoes.

Every Monday morning we will send a newsletter with a list of what to expect in your share, how to store them and some of our favorite ways to prepare them.  We do not offer any additional items in the share, but do encourage you to give unwanted items to a friend or leave it with us when you pick up and we can offer it to someone else.  You could be that someone else one day!  However, we do want you to eat all of your vegetables, so tell us when you do not like something and we can discuss the many ways to prepare that item!

Can I come see Elm Street Gardens?

We thought you would never ask!  We will be hosting a CSA member potluck on August 7, 2016 and encourage all to come out and meet your fellow members and neighbors.  More information to come!

If you come on Wednesdays to pick up your share and would like a tour, we would love to show you around.
